Partnerships and collaborations that make a difference
Our collaboration with strong partners opens up new opportunities and supports innovation. Whether it’s funding programmes, memberships or local initiatives – together we can achieve more.

Investment project 2022 – 2026
Yamaton Paper GmbH, a manufacturer of eco-friendly packaging solutions made from paper and cardboard, is investing in the expansion of its production site in Rostock Schutow between 2022 and 2026.
With a total volume of around €4 million, the machinery will be modernised and expanded. The aim is to sustainably increase production capacities, create new jobs and strengthen competitiveness in the European market. The investments will enable more efficient production, the fulfilment of increasing customer requirements and the development of additional markets.
This project is financially supported by the European Union as part of the joint task ‘Improvement of the Regional Economic Structure’ (GRW). The funding contributes significantly to securing and expanding the company’s innovative strength and regional value creation.
We are a member of the European Manufacturers Paper Honeycomb Association (EMPHA), the pan-European association of manufacturers of paper honeycomb products.
Membership enables us to stay up to date on market trends, quarterly surveys on the business situation, legal developments and technical standards in the honeycomb sector. In addition, we benefit from a strong network: annual meetings, specialist presentations on topics such as sustainability and marketing, and close exchange with other industry players promote innovation and visibility for our work.
This membership underlines our commitment to quality, environmental protection and future-oriented solutions.
For many years, we have been part of the Rostock Business network, the economic development agency of the Hanseatic and university city of Rostock. Thanks to their sound advice, support in choosing a location, facilitation of approval procedures and network management, we were able to establish our new company location.
Rostock Business acts as a structuring, competent service provider – a mediator between business, administration and politics – and offers exactly the contacts and platforms we needed.
Its role as a ‘one-stop agency’ has contributed significantly to our successful expansion and strong foothold in Rostock.
By sponsoring bees at Genussmanufaktur Salubria, we are making an active contribution to protecting nature and promoting biodiversity. Our support helps to care for and preserve a bee colony in our region around Rostock.
As a wonderful token of this partnership, we receive fresh honey once a year – a genuine piece of regionality and sustainability. We traditionally give the honey as a Christmas gift to our colleagues so that everyone can participate in this special project.
In this way, our bee sponsorship not only contributes to the environment, but also becomes a small, sweet highlight in our team. With this commitment, we want to show that we care not only about production, but also about treating our environment responsibly.
Together with the Initiative Plastikfreie Stadt, we are committed to significantly reducing the use of single-use plastic. To this end, we are conducting a comprehensive inventory to record our plastic consumption in all areas of the company. Based on this, we are developing measures to avoid, reduce or replace single-use plastic with sustainable alternatives.
Our first milestone: at least ten percent savings – a step that will be rewarded with the first star on the plastic-free scale. With each star we achieve, we make our progress visible. We are particularly proud that we already manufacture exclusively plastic-free products today.
But our commitment does not end within our own company: as a member of the initiative, we also want to inspire other companies and partners to follow this path and thus jointly drive forward the transition to less single-use plastic.
